New Markets Tax Credits Eligible - Belwood Industrial Park is a former country club located in Adams County, Mississippi, approximately 3 miles southwest of Natchez. The property was used as a country club for 40 years. The course closed in 1998, and has remained vacant since. Adajcent to the Natchez-Adams County Port facility. Bound by River Terminal Road on the northeast, St. Catherine Creek on the southwest and by 1,500 feet of Mississippi River frontage on the northwest. The site has access to utilities. Transportation access is provided by River Terminal Road and a spur of Canadian National Illinois Central Railroad. Cultural Resource Assessment performed in 2007 stated "no relevant cultural resources discovered." There are also three water wells, two industrial wells, and one private well on the creekbank. Electrical service is available from an Entergy substtion directly across River Terminal Road to the northeast.
